David has 13 years of retained executive search experience obtained from Korn/Ferry International and as a Partner with Laurel Group, a Seattle boutique retained search firm. He is active conducting national searches focusing on VP level, C-level, and Board retained searches ranging from public companies to venture backed startups.
David brings proven international search experience in Asia and Europe for our clients. Before coming to Seattle in 2005, David was based in Madrid, Spain focusing on global searches targeting both Europe and Asia. Before Spain, David was in Korn/Ferry's Hong Kong office for four years working on senior level searches in a variety of industries.
David holds a B.A. in International Studies and Spanish from Washington College. He also studied abroad in Spain, Mexico, and Regent's College in England and was a graduate fellow and the Lamone Entrepreneurship Scholar of his MBA class at the University of Maryland in College Park where he received his MBA degree in International Business in 1996. Hobbies include fly fishing and technical scuba diving. He is fluent in Spanish, and has a basic understanding of French, German, and Chinese. His wife, Marinilka, is an accounting professor at Seattle University.
