Edith joined Herd Freed Hartz in 2021 as Director focusing on retained executive searches in the Pacific Northwest. She brings 20+ years with a breadth of experience in talent acquisition, workforce and succession planning, and recruiting strategy from a variety of organizations including: Amazon, Microsoft, Expedia, JPMorgan Chase, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and Impinj; as well as several startups and midsize companies.
Edith has pursued a career building high-performing organizations through uncompromising hiring standards and interviewing practices, working within all levels of small and large companies, from administrative, finance, software development, to senior management and C-level executives.
She believes strongly that everyone should Always Be Recruiting. “No matter where you are and who you are with, you never know if your next great hire is at your son’s baseball game or sitting next to you on a chairlift.” Edith is always happily recruiting and evangelizing her latest project.
Edith is a proud alumna of the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
Recently, after more than 28 years in Seattle, Edith relocated to Bend, OR, where she lives with her husband Eric and their two dogs: Sally and Juniper. Her twin boys, Benjamin and Zachary, live in Seattle and Denver respectively. Edith also loves to root for her favorite teams: the Michigan Wolverines, Seattle Mariners, and Seattle Seahawks.
